An Oasis of Tranquility
Set among 27 hectares of woodland and pasture in the heart of Gascony, Le Bêtet is a place to slow down, breathe deeply and enjoy the space around you.
Once a traditional Gascon farm, the house and its outbuildings sit among mature trees, open fields and peaceful woodland near the village of Manciet in south-west France. There are paths to wander, quiet corners in which to sit, a swimming pool across the lawns and, beyond the property, the rolling countryside, markets, vineyards and villages of Gascony.
Le Bêtet is our home, and a place we love sharing with people who want to discover this beautiful and still relatively unknown part of France.
Stay in the Chai
The Chai is a converted former wine store within the grounds, offering comfortable and characterful self-contained accommodation for up to three people.
With its own private terrace and direct access to the gardens and grounds, it is an easy place in which to settle for a few days, read, explore, swim, eat well and simply enjoy being somewhere quieter.
Space to unwind
The buildings are surrounded by woodland and pasture, with plenty of room to walk without ever leaving the property. Long summer evenings, old trees casting shade across the lawns, mist over the fields in the morning and the wide skies of Gascony all give the place its own rhythm.
It is peaceful without being isolated. Local towns and villages are close at hand, while markets, restaurants, vineyards and Armagnac producers are all within easy reach.
Welcome to our home
We are Mark and Sarah Rogerson, and Le Bêtet has been our home for many years.
We have tried to preserve the character and atmosphere of the old farm while making it a comfortable and welcoming place to stay. What we value most is its sense of space, calm and connection with the countryside around us. We hope our guests enjoy it in much the same way.
